Wireless at Washington State University
All of our labs have wireless routers that enable anyone with a valid Network ID
and password to log on to the wireless internet.
Wireless is regulated by a VPN connection that ensures security.
Before Connecting
Before you attempt to log on to the wireless at WSU, you must ensure your WSU network ID is
enabled for Active Directory.
- First, follow this link to check Active Directory status
- Log in with your Network ID and password
- If your Active Directory account is enabled and unlocked, proceed to setting up the VPN Connection below, otherwise
select "Enable Active Directory Account" and click continue
- Logout once finished
Setting up the VPN Connection
WSU offers multiple methods of establishing a VPN connection. Depending on which operating system you are using, instructions may
be found at http://www.wsu.edu/vpn
Instructions are detailed and have pictures available to ensure accuracy.
Connecting
Once the VPN has been setup and configured, every time you want to log on, you only need to connect to the "wsunexus" wireless connection
and run the VPN connection method you have chosen.
